COLLEX WHEELS OF HOPE BENEVOLENCE PROGRAM

Wheels of Hope Picture 1 Last December, Collex began a new program called the Collex Collision Experts Wheels Of HOPE Benevolence Car Program with the purpose of helping out families in our community. The company gave away two cars to two local families that had come upon hard times. Along with Collex, our employes, vendors and local businesses joined together to provide, not only the cars, but insurance and gas for six months as well as holiday gifts, child safety seats and other items the families will need.

The program was a huge success and it was awesome to see how the community and our employees were able to bless two single moms. Julie Gagliano, Community Relations Director for Collex, has been in touch with both moms and they are doing great and have thanked everyone involved over and over again for helping them out. They said that this program has significantly changed their lives.

Wheels of Hope Picture 2 This year Collex will give between four and six vehicles away. Applications will be provided to the Family Independence Agency and Compassion Pregnancy through the Traffic Safety Association of Macomb County. This year we are also taking applications from military families that are in need of vehicles. After a screening process involving their social workers, the families will be chosen by a panel of non-management Collex employees.

The families will receive their cars during National Benevolence Week on Thursday, December 13th at our Clinton Township location. Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackell will host the ceremony.
